Military Tunnels is one of the most dangerous PvE monuments in Rust. The complex is defended by a large group of scientist NPCs that are noticeably more aggressive and better-equipped than the roaming scientists found elsewhere, so most players clear it with a teammate or strong gear rather than solo and undergeared.
The reward is a red keycard puzzle — which also involves wiring a fuse into the electrical room — that opens onto elite crates and military crates. Radiation inside is high, and a recycler is available on-site for processing components.
Military Tunnels is prized for consistent high-tier loot, but the scientist density makes every run a genuine fight. Bring meds, ammo and a plan for the NPCs before you push the puzzle.
Because every map here is a plain, unmodified Rust world, Military Tunnels spawns exactly where the game places it for a given seed and world size. Browse generated maps to see real monument layouts, or generate your own and check the monument list on the map page.
