The Sphere Tank — almost always called "the Dome" — is the giant spherical tank that is one of Rust’s most recognizable landmarks. Inside, a spiral of scaffolding lets you climb to the top, passing a series of crates and barrels on the way up.
It is a low-pressure monument: there are typically no scientists and little to no radiation, so newer or lightly-geared players can loot it safely. A recycler sits at the base, and a green keycard area rewards the climb.
The Dome is a reliable early-wipe stop for components and low-to-mid tier loot, and a good place to learn monument routes without the punishment of the radiated, scientist-heavy sites. Its height also makes it a notable landmark for navigating the map.
Because every map here is a plain, unmodified Rust world, Sphere Tank (Dome) spawns exactly where the game places it for a given seed and world size. Browse generated maps to see real monument layouts, or generate your own and check the monument list on the map page.
